Prison Pit 3 Preview
Is it time already? I’m not sure I’ve properly recovered from the last time I ventured into the fucked up world of Johnny Ryan’s Prison Pit. The first two volumes were all sorts of messed up; a brutal and hilarious journey through a mind-map of insanity… there’s nothing quite like it on the shelves!
That’s why on the eve of Prison Pit 3‘s release through Fantagraphics, I’m in a position of mental preparation. This is set to be 120 pages of ‘once you see it, it can’t ever be unseen’ scenarios and, honestly, Comicsphere couldn’t be more excited!
Unbelievably unpredictable, violent, satirical and likely to entertain more than anything else on the shelves through September, the Prison Pit makes Hell look like nothing more than a relaxing Sunday morning stroll through a (really hot) meadow.
Don’t just take my word for it, our resident Indie writer Kevin Scully reviewed Volumes 1 & 2 earlier in the week (which you can view here) and be sure to swing back next week for an interview with architect of the unimaginable Johnny Ryan himself!
